 Firebird Technologies Inc. is a division of 5N Plus and is a leading manufacturer of antimonide-based compound semiconductor wafers, specifically Indium Antimonide (InSb). In recent years, they have increased their knowledge and expertise of metal compound purification, Czochralski crystal growth and custom fabrication/shaping to produce high purity metal products: 7N Antimony, 6N5 Indium and 7N Tin. These metals are ideally suited for Molecular Beam Epitaxy and other semiconductor applications. |
Antimony (Sb)
High purity applications for antimony include III – V compound semiconductors used in the production of diodes, infrared detectors and Hall-effect devices. Other uses are as dopants, for thin film deposition and ultra-pure standard preparation.

Indium (In)
Indium is produced mainly from residues generated during zinc ore processing but is also found in iron, lead and copper ores. Canada is a leading producer of indium. The Teck Cominco refinery in Trail BC, located minutes away from Firebird Technologies, is one of the world's largest sources of 4N indium, ensuring us a stable supply.
