Hollow Retroreflector Arrays (HRAs) are made up of many hollow retroreflectors arranged as a single, large, self-compensating mirror surface. They are designed to reflect light back the source with high accuracy.
PLX HRA’s are comprised of individual 2.5″ (63mm) clear aperture hollow retroreflectors of either 5.0 or 20.0 arc seconds maximum deviation. Retroreflectors are individually mounted on an aluminium plate, spaced very tightly together.
Individual retroreflectors can be replaced if damaged, and the plate is shock mounted in a durable steel housing with a single protective door.
PLX can create a customized array for your application. Arrays can vary in size from a few inches in diameter to several feet across. PLX can provide individual retroreflectors in the array in any size, with accuracies of better than 1 arc second maximum deviation. Custom mirror coatings are available for specific wavelengths and high power laser applications.
PLX is a Luxium Solutions brand that has been at the forefront of developing high-quality monolithic optics for over 60 years. PLX optics can withstand and perform under the harshest environmental conditions and maintain their accuracy over time.
