Gadolinium Gallium Garnet (GGG), Substituted Gallium Garnet (SGGG) and Neodymium Gallium Garnet (NGG) from Saint Gobain Crystals are used as substrates for liquid epitaxy. This is the process of growing semiconductor crystal layers and is used in nanotechnology and semiconductor fabrication.
